How We Work
When rtpDesign is creating your companies media we adhere to a strict workflow. This ensures that our projects are completed in an organised manner and also that our clients are fully aware of what's going on at each stage. Read on to see a full explanation of each stage.
1. Fill out the order form.
Fill out the order form, giving us as much detail as possible to start off the process. This will get the ball rolling, and we will contact you with further questions in order to complete step 2.
2. Agree on a contract.
Once you have initiated a design quotation with us we will discuss with you all of the options you have chosen. Any design preferences will be agreed on here, and all of the sites features, and content will be agreed on in general terms. This process will continue until we have a rock solid contract that both you and rtpDesign agree upon. Once this is complete we will both know exactly what is required for the project.
If we are creating a website for you then we will create a holder page while the contract is being agreed. This allows your potential customer to get contact information from your website should they need to contact you before your site is online.
3. Calculate the price.
When you are happy with your design contract, an exact figure will be calculated which will be the final price that you will be charged upon completion of the project.
4. Pay a deposit.
By this point in the project you will be sure of exactly what you want us to do for you, and also the exact price that we will charge. it's now time to put our designers into action to begin creating the prototype design.
Because this is a complex task we ask that you pay a deposit of 25% of the total project price. Designing a website takes a considerable amount of work and time, and by asking for a deposit we ensure that our clients are serious about their project.
In return for you showing your commitment to the project we will give you an exact date that the project will be completed by. Should we fail to meet this date will provide you with monetary compensation.
5. We create a prototype design.
Our designers will create what is known as a prototype site. It will be a single page picture that shows the general layout and colour scheme of your site. A prototype image will not have all the bells and whistles that your final site will contain, but it will give you a firm idea of the direction your design is taking.
At this stage it is not too late to scrap a design and change direction, so it allows us to ensure that you are happy with the design before it is turned into your webpage with content in it.

6. You approve the design.
Once you are happy with your prototype we will add the sheen that makes our websites look professional. When you approve a prototype to become the final design it is locked. This means that no major design changes will be made during the remainder of the project, but rest assured you will still be consulted on stylistic choices throughout the project.
7. The website design is completed.
As the final sheen is added to your website we will keep in regular contact with you to approve the stylistic additions made to your website. If there is anything you want to alter then you can get this tweaked at this stage. Once the site design is completed and you approve it then the final stage can be embarked on.
8. We build the site.
With a final design of your site complete it's time to convert the picture into a useable web page, and put the content in. During this stage we will integrate any technical features that you have requested, such as forums, feedback forms, shopping carts. You will be consulted as to the final wording of the pages as they are created and you can take as much or little control as you wish.
